Child Protection

2017 – 2018

Online Child Exploitation Investigations

Led and managed complex investigations into online child sexual exploitation and abuse within Police Scotland. Worked alongside digital forensics specialists to analyse large volumes of evidence, safeguard vulnerable children and support offender outcomes. This work remains the most significant of my career.

Capability Building

2018 – 2020

National Cyber Training Programme

Designed and delivered a Home Office-funded national cyber training programme for UK policing. Recruited and coordinated 12 investigator instructors across UK forces, building practical cybercrime and digital exploitation capability in investigators working in increasingly digital crime environments.

Data & Process

2020 – 2022

DAMA Data Management Framework

Developed and implemented a DAMA-aligned data management framework within Police Scotland to improve service delivery and support criminal investigations. Used process reviews, stakeholder engagement and operational analysis to identify practical improvements in investigative efficiency.

Technology Strategy

2022 – 2025

Public Safety Technology Consulting

Worked with SAS Software to shape digital investigation solutions for law enforcement and national security users globally. Translated operational investigative requirements into product feedback, training and adoption support, with a focus on child sexual exploitation online investigations.

2024

US Patent — Predictive Action Analysis

Named inventor on SAS Institute Inc. US Patent US 12,436,986 B2: Systems, methods, and graphical user interfaces for predicting and analyzing action likelihood. A recognition of contribution to applied research in investigative analytics.

International Engagement

2025 – Present

Strategic Market Development

Leading strategic market development for Magnet Forensics across international law enforcement regions including the UAE, France, Italy, Spain and Africa. Designing region-specific engagement strategies and building relationships with senior policing leaders and government stakeholders.
